In
the name of God Amen I Robert Rutter of Houghton in the Spring sike in
bodye but yet sound in mynde and of perfect memorie Gods name be
praysed Therfor doe make my last will and teastament the 19 day of
September 1608 in maner and forme followinge
First I bequeth my
soule into ye hands of Almightie God hoping to be saved by the
bloudshed and meritts of Christ Jesus only and by noe other way or
meanes: Item: I bequeath my bodye to be buried in Houghton Church
Item I give to the pore of Houghton parish xxs to be distrubuted by the Collectors
Item I give unto my Good Mrs Bellisses an Angell
Item I give unto Mr William Bellisses An Angell

that wheras I the testator have in my last bequest said Item all the
rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable my debts and funerall expences
being discharged I give and bequeath unto Robert Rutter my sonne and
Margerat my Daughter whom I make Executors of this my last will and
teastament equaly to be devided betwen them. my minde and will is
according to thee true meaning theirof, that my debts and funerall
expences being dischargedall the rest of my goods devided into three
equall parts wherof one to be to my wife for hir part an other to my
Children to pay such of my Children their portions as have not as yet
had theire portion and the third part to pay my Legacies and then my
Legacies being paid and discharged all the rest of my goodes moveable
and unmoveable as formerly in this my will geven and bequeathed I give
and bequeth to Robert Rutter my sonn and Margerat my daughter
whom I make myne executors as formerly I have said equaly to be devided
betwen them
