Will of Edward Prestwick of the parish of Stepney and now Comander of the good Ship Royall James and Mary
Dated 16.5.1691, proved at London 14.9.1691.

In
the name of God Amen I Edward Prestwick of the parish of Stepney and
now Comander of the good Ship Royall James and Mary being sick in Body
but of perfect memory blessed be God, make this my last Will and
Testament in manner and forme as followeth Imprimis
I give and
bequeath my Body to the Grave and my Soule to God who gave it what
earthly appurtences I leave behind I distribute to my well beloved Wife
Elizabeth Prestwick who I make my whole and sole Executrix of this my
last Will and Testament and none other and I doe hereby revoke all and
every Testament Will and Wills heretofore made or declared either by
Word or Writing
I likewise institute and appoint my lame boy
John Prestwick to be put to an Aprentice to some eminent Lawyer or
Scrivener soe farr as one hundred pounds will goe and that after his
time of Apprentiship shall be expired to give him if able one hundred
pounds more
and as to my Wifes Son Gilbert ?Grimes? I referr to her disposall
I
likewise institute and appoint my very loveing Friends John ?Gayre?
Thomas Waltham and Charles Woolnough to be as Overseers to this my last
Will and Testament In Witnesse whereof I sett my hand and seale this
sixteenth day of May in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred
and ninety one and the second yeare of the reign of our Soveraign Lord
and Lady King William and Queeen Mary Edward Prestwick
