Will & Inventory of Thomas Pressek of Brotton, Yorks, Weaver.

Dated 30.6.1690, proved at York, date unknown.


In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Pressek in the parrish of Brotton and County of Yorke weaver being well in health and of sound and perfect memory Doe make this my Last Will and Testament as followeth First I commend my soule into the hands of almighty God my maker and my body I commit to be buryed in the Church yeard of Brotton att the Descretion of my Executors herein after named And for my worldly goods and Estate I will give and bequeathe the same as followeth


First I give and Bequeathe unto my son Thomas Pressek the sume of thre pounds of currant English money 

Item I give & bequeathe unto my son Crestopher Pressek the sume of Thre Pounds 

Item I give and bequeathe unto my son James Pressek the sume of six pounds and four pounds in his own hand due 
to me upon a bond 

Item I give and bequeathe unto my son in Law John Gofton the sume of five shillings 

Item I give and bequeathe unto my Doughter Ann Gofton the sume of Thre Pounds 

Item I give and bequeathe unto my son in Law John Tiplady the sume of five shillings 

Item I give and bequeathe unto my Doughter Mary Tiplady the sume of twenty shillings 

Item I give unto my Sister Ellen Wood one shilling 

Item I give unto my Sister in Law Margaret Gofton one shilling 

Item I give and bequeathe unto my Granchild Mary Pressek doughter of Thomas Pressek the sume of Thre pounds 

Item I give and bequeathe unto all the Rest of my Granchildren Twelve pence a pece 

Item I give and bequeathe unto my Granchild Mary Carter doughter of Willyam Carter the white Cubart one spence ..................... ....... ........ Cubart & one bed and Close ajoyning on the said Linera Cubart & four puder dishes & two doson 
of spouns and two Candlsticks one puder quart & one Chamber pot of puder and one great brass Cettell and one Chare of panell work & one buffitt form belonging the bed and one fir table and the frame belonging it and another buffit form and one great brass pan 

Item I give and bequeathe unto my son in Law Willyam Carter and Margaret his wife all the Residue and Remainder of 
all my goods Chattels Creditts moneys and spec..ties whatsoever and I make and Apoint my said son in Law Willyam Carter and Margaret his wife my whole and sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Pressek have hereunto put my hand and sealle the thirty day of June in the second yeare of the reigne of King Willyam and queen Mary over England Anno que Dom 1690
